DESCRIPTION:
The iMFD DM-100 is a mini computer designed specifically to display
a wide variety of automotive information far superior to that of a
standard automotive gauge. The iMFD DM-100 is designed to intercept
up to 32 SM modules and to control one HDD-100. Up to 32 DM-100s can
be chained together in an iMFD system. The DM-100 is housed in high
quality extruded aluminum designed to operate even in the most extreme
conditions.

STANDARD GAUGES:
Unlike other automotive displays on the market where the user has
no choice but to view data presented only in one form, the DM-100
has the capability of displaying data in multiple forms. As seen above
in the state diagram, each parameter can be viewed in a gauge style,
a numeric style, a plot style, and simultaneously in the 4 parameter
style. Each style offers its unique advantages.
The plot style is a unique feature in automotive displays. Now data
can be viewed as a trend, instead of just it's instantaneous value.
This gives the user quicker access to information without the use
of a data logger.
Some additional user customizations are also available in the standard
gauges. Colors can be customized, and background wallpapers of your
choice can be uploaded from the PC making each gauge unique to your
own taste.
CUSTOM GAUGE: The custom gauge design is one of the many unique
features found on the DM-100. In state 1-4, (seen above) the user
has the absolute freedom to design your own gauge on the PC and upload
it to the DM-100 via USB. You will have full control over every pixel,
every pixel color and every displayed frame. It's only up to your
imagination what you want to design and display to represent your
automotive sensor data.
PEAK AND HOLD: The user can set the DM-100 to remember both
high or low values for each parameter. Peak values can be viewed in
state 2-3 and can be reset on command at any time.
INTEGRATED WARNING: 1-4 parameters can be setup to trigger
a warning condition. When a warning is triggered, the parameter's
value will be displayed on the screen giving the user immediate information.
Multiple warning schemes are available. This feature can prove to
be extremely vital in monitoring the health of your vehicle.
TECHNOLOGY: The DM-100 employs several new technological breakthroughs
in digital design. At the core of this technology is a 32 bit CPU
coupled with a PLX designed GPU (graphics processor unit). Just has
high end video graphic cards are designed for PC games, the PLX GPU
was designed specifically for automotive display applications, making
the OLED color display possible at an affordable price. Ram, flash
and USB technologies are also incorporated.

TECHNOLOGY: Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) is emerging
as a leading next generation display technology. OLED technology offers
several distinct advantages over the traditional liquid crystal displays
(LCDs). OLEDs can be made thinner, offer more vibrant colors, and has
better contrast. Its viewing angle is wider, and produces almost no
polarization. Polarized sunglasses have almost no effect in viewing
the projected image. This makes it an ideal display for automotive applications.

Uses:
There are two recommended uses for the DM-5. The simple
setup connects to just one SM module. This is great for
stand alone gauges. The full setup is great for monitoring
several SM modules simultaneously. Looking at the diagram
to the right, the DM-5 AFR labeled (1) automatically displays
the information from SM-AFR labeled (4). The DM-5 AFR
labeled (2) automatically displays the information from
SM-AFR labeled (5). The DM-5 AFR labeled (3) automatically
displays the information from SM-AFR labeled (6) and so
on.... The DM-5 automatically "knows" where to look for
the information with respect to where it is connected
in the iMFD chain.

DESCRIPTION:
The M-Series Wideband Oxygen Sensor
Controllers are extremely simple to use and
to setup. They do not require complicated
sensor calibration procedures nor do they
require any confusing software setup. Simply,
connect the power wires to a 12V source, snap
the sensor wire harness with the oxygen sensor
and you're ready to start measuring your automobile's
air/fuel ratio within minutes! PLX Devices
widebands are guaranteed accurate to 0.1AFR
with race proven technology which yields extremely
fast reaction times.
The M-300 Controller come with two analog
outputs, linear wideband and narrowband. Our
linear wideband output gives you the freedom
to interface with a number of tuning devices,
such as data loggers, piggy back fuel systems
and stand alone engine management systems.
The linear wideband output signal updates
at 100KHz (100,000 times/sec). This signal
can be sampled as fast as 50KHz. With the
narrowband output you are able to completely
replace your stock narrowband sensor and "feed"
our analog signal directly into your ECU.
This eliminates the hassle of welding a second
sensor bung on your down pipe. Your ECU will
"think" that your narrowband sensor is still
there while you're measuring wideband information
at the same time!
The M-300 continuously updates the corresponding
air/fuel ratio 10 times per second (10Hz)
on its integrated 4 digit digital display.
If the air/fuel ratio is measured below 10:1,
the LED displays "rich," and if the air/fuel
ratio is measured above 20:1, the LED displays
"lean". The LED display is visible even in
bright sunlight conditions. |

Wieband Controller Technology:

M-Series product line. PLX widebands utilize the latest digital PID and DSP technologies to

Engine Knock Noise Calibration:
The R-500 implements an advanced knock detection algorithm. Your engine's background knock
noise can be normalized with respect to your RPM. Since all vehicles exhibit different noise
characteristics, the R-500 can be setup to neutralize your engine's background noise. The R-500
is capable of displaying raw knock volts or normalized knock volts giving you a very power tool
for maximizing your engine's timing.

LM-1: Digital Air/Fuel Ratio Meter
The LM-1 is the industry's first and best complete wideband tuning system.
A single self-contained unit combines a wideband air/fuel ratio sensor controller,
a 6-channel data logger, and an easy-to-read backlit LCD display. This is the
unit used by tuners, racers, and engine builders the world over.
Tuning an engine for maximum power previously required long trial-and-error
sessions on a dynamometer. With the LM-1, precise AFR measurement allows the
user to correctly adjust many variables- including carburetor jetting, fuel
injection, turbo fuel curves, etc.- without long and expensive dyno sessions.
The meter's digital signal processing technology provides data on exactly how
rich or lean an engine is running at any load. The LM-1's self-calibrating
circuitry also compensates for changes in temperature, altitude, and sensor
condition.

The instrument can sample and store 6 channels of data- air-fuel-ratio
and up to 5 other sensor data channels- internally in operation for later
analysis on a personal computer. At a sampling rate of 12 samples/second the
instrument can store up to 44 minutes worth of data in non-volatile memory.
The data can be downloaded to a personal computer using a standard serial port
and viewed/analyzed by the included LogWorks software or any standard spreadsheet
program.
The LM-1 also features two analog outputs to connect to analog gauges, dyno computers,
ECUs, piggyback controllers, and other devices with analog inputs. Analog output 1 comes
setup from the factory ready for narrowband simulation; analog output 2 is configured as
1 volt = 10 AFR (.6 lambda) and 2 volts = 20 AFR (1.3 lambda). With the provided LM
Programmer software these analog outputs may also be configured by the user.
